Beechnut Raceway's Annual Pit Crew Challenge

Saturday, September 3rd

Flat Kart- 360 lbs

$$Purse$$- TBA

Karts may be entered as many times as you want with a different driver

Drivers can enter multiple times as long as you are driving a different kart.

Pit crew members may pit for more than one kart as long as it is a different driver.

A Race Official will be at each kart to assure every kart gets an equal chance.

There will be a one (1) second penalty for each wheel nut that is loose or missing and any loose or missing fuel caps.

Challenge will begin from a designated spot on the grid.  The time will start when the kart crosses the Start/Finish line at the Flagstand.  The kart will then exit the track without crossing the scales and return to designated area.  Driver will exit the kart and turn off engine and step away.  Then 2 pit crew members will set the kart on a stand and take off all four tires, touch them to the ground and then put them back on the kart tightening all wheel nuts.  There will be a pre-measured amount of fuel supplied to each kart to add and then replace the fuel cap and tighten it.  Crew members will then set the kart back on the ground, where the driver will get in and a crew member will restart the engine and proceed back onto the track to cross the Start/Finish line where the time will stop.  The kart will then exit the track and cross the scales and must weigh at least 360 lbs.  All wheel nuts and fuel cap will be checked for tightness by an official.  Times will be adjusted if any penalties apply.

Remember this is a Pit Crew Challenge and will be won by the speed of the Pit Crew and not the kart

We are still looking for a few more $50 sponsor to support this unique event.  If you are interested in sponsoring this event please contact Linda at (276) 646-8788
